Camping at Navarro Beach

We went to a beautiful beach spot to camp, and I got some paintings done. Very fun.

This was the first one I did. There was a nice appeal of the gray sky against the dark cliff. I like to add some color to an otherwise plain sky, just to add some interest to that area of the painting.

And this is what happens when you try to paint after drinking some good wine... It was a lot of fun anyway.

Study of a large piece of driftwood. I think this one came out good because it was my birthday...

These 2 paintings were from earlier in the week. This was the first time I'd done a still life in almost 2 years... eesh, don't do that.

This one was about 20 mins, it was getting too dark to finish, but I kept it because I liked it as a color study...
