Breckenridge Trip 2015

Ok here's the deal. I am very far behind with what I want to share on my blog. I do like to write, but not only has my blogging time decreased since I got my new studio, but I don't have a computer or internet there. So that means I don't even have a method to sit down and blog when I'm at the studio. So what does this mean? And what will I do about it?

The main things I want to share are the pictures. I think that is the number one priority. However, I do like talking about the paintings, or art, or technique, or anything else I want to share about them. I don't want to sacrifice sharing the paintings just because I can't sit down to write meaningfully about them. I plan on doing a couple of things to remedy my problem.

1. I set up an IFTTT recipe that will automatically post new photos from my Facebook pages as blog posts. It is the first place I add new paintings, and I will usually write a little blurb and info about the piece there anyway. This will mean that my blog will be automatically updated much more regularly. Probably weekly. At times even daily!

2. I am looking into starting an audio supplement to the blog that will be a weekly podcast-style show that will get more in depth with all the info I want to get out there. It will probably just start out as a discussion about my paintings I am sharing to the blog but I am willing to see it evolve into something potentially more interesting.

Here are the paintings I made during my recent trip to Colorado(more specifically, Breckenridge). They are all either 8x12 or 6x12 inches. Some will be used as studies for larger paintings done for the Abend Gallery in Denver.

If you are interested in any of these let me know. I may be willing to part with a few of them if I don't use them as studies.
